Where it started
Visitors need to scan a code and find an interview directly. File size, browser compatibility and deployment isolation all affect the experience.
My contribution
I organized interviews into a web video wall and worked on transcoding, isolated container deployment, playback checks and handoff documentation.
Delivery reaches the exhibition when visitors can actually watch.
Three engineering decisions
Make playback work first
Transcode for browser compatibility and delivery size, then check playback and HTTP Range seeking.
Keep deployment reversible
Use an isolated container and read-only content mounts with a rollback path.
Separate media issues from deployment issues
Identify damaged source videos and document the limitations, while fixing cache handling for updated pages and covers.
What came out of it
- Historical records cover web delivery and isolated deployment of 14 interview videos.
- Checks include browser playback, Range 206 responses, updated covers and rollback planning.
- Damaged sources were not presented as repaired, and original interview footage is not republished here.
Historical deployment and playback verification; live service not retested here
What's next
Add shareable exhibition photos and maintenance examples, with attention to content permission and source quality.
Project notes are grounded in reviewed source, experiment records and personal confirmations.
