Where it started
As tools and skills accumulate, discovery, installation and directory maintenance become repetitive work. The automation also needs intelligible failure handling and recovery.
My contribution
I built a tech radar and skill-tree keeper around my own Harness workflow, combining information aggregation, action entry points and skill protection.
A useful tool makes the next repetition easier.
Three engineering decisions
Connect discovery to action
Aggregate multiple technology sources with ranking, deduplication, desktop access and installation actions.
Protect existing work
Maintain a skill manifest and rotating snapshots with status, maintenance and recovery tools.
Handle the edges of automation
Repository revisions cover asynchronous collection, timeouts, path validation, deployment scripts and failure feedback.
What came out of it
- dsh-tech-radar and dsh-skill-tree-keeper have public source, documentation and installation flows.
- Revision histories address panel registration, event-loop blocking, path safety and backup recovery.
- These plugins are my projects; this does not imply authorship of the DeepSeek Harness platform.
Two public plugin repositories; capabilities grounded in source and docs
What's next
Improve reproducible installation tests and failure feedback as host environments evolve.
Project notes are grounded in reviewed source, experiment records and personal confirmations.
